ABOUT WEIGEL COUNSELING ASSOCIATES

Weigel Counseling Associates was started in 1993 by Licensed Psychologist/Addiction Counselor, John Weigel.  The goal of this effort was to create a down-to-earth, yet highly professional and ethical practice of counseling and evaluation services for the Lancaster County area.

The practice has since grown to three office locations and 13 counselors/therapists.   Between all of the professionals on staff, most concerns and populations are served.  The staff takes pride in being able to help individuals and families toward a higher quality of life and fuller relationships.

The Therapists at Weigel Counseling are:

John Weigel, Licensed Psychologist/Certified Addiction Counselor Diplomate.  John works out of the Willow St. and Roseville Pediatrics offices. He counsels children, adolescents, adults and families struggling with a variety of issues including specialites in AD/HD, addictions, sports psychology and behavioral problems.  John offers a wide range of evaluation services as well.

Cindy Zollman, Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  Cindy works out of the Willow St. and Rothsville Medical Center offices.  She counsels adults, teens and couples with emotional and relational issues.

Dale Sharpsteen, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  Dale works at the Rothsville Medical Center and Roseville Pediatrics offices.  She counsels children, teens, adults and families with issues of emotional, behavioral and relationship problems. 

Anita Pilkerton-Plumb, Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  Anita works out of the Willow St.  office. She is an experienced play therapist and speaker.  Anita works with younger children and adults with concerns with emotional conditions and abuse.

Meade Stoner, Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  Meade works at the Willow St. and Roseville Pediatric offices.  He specializes in the counseling of adolescents and children.  Meade also has experience with sexual abuse issues and offers wrap-around service evaluations. 

Melissa Brown, Licensed Psychologist.  Melissa works at the Willow St. office.  She focuses her practice on the counseling of adults and teens.  Melissa is experienced with a variety of clinical issues involving emotional and behavioral concerns.

Vic Poirier, Licensed Social Worker.  Vic works at the Willow St. office.  He is an experienced therapist with years in the helping professions.  Vic conducts substance abuse evaluations and therapy as well as other counseling for adults and teens.

Tama Goodman, Licensed Social Worker.  Tama works at both the Willow St. and Roseville Pediatrics offices.  She is a play therapist working with young children.  Tama also counsels older children and families.

Jane Weigel, Registered Nurse.  Jane works at the Roseville Pediatrics and Willow St. offices.  Jane works with children and teens who are at risk for adult obesity.  Her counseling efforts focus on developing individualized programs for those struggling with high risk weight problems.

Stephanie Shirker Swann, Licensed Professional Counselor.  Stephanie works at the Roseville Pediatrics and Rothsville Medical Center offices.  She is a certified music therapist and works well with teens. 

Antonia Pawlson, Licensed Professional Counselor.  Antonia works at the Willow St. office.  She is a certified art therapist using that skill with children and teens.  Antonia also works with families and couples around a number of problem areas.

Marjorie McNaughton, Licensed Social Worker.  Marjorie works at the Willow St. office. She focuses on working with adults (including older adults) around a variety of emotional and behavioral problems including grieving and loss.

Stephanie Novotny Kegel, Licensed Social Worker.  Stephanie works at the Roseville Pedicatrics and Willow St. offices.  She works with adults with emotional, behavioral and addiction problems.  Stephanie also works with couples.

Laurie Cosgrove, Office Manager.  Laurie is located at the Willow St. office and can answer any questions about insurance coverages and claim status.
